My name is Andy and I have been working in SVAKOM for more than 2.5 years. I am in charge of the Google Adwords and SEO and I am so proud of working in one of the biggest global sex toy brands. We are not just selling sex toys, but changing the way you experience pleasure.
I still remember... it was a few days before Christmas of 2017 when I came to SVAKOM for my first interview. I was pretty impressed by the wall full of all kinds of vibrators I’ve never seen in my life, that very second opened my mind and helped me to accept new challenges, a week later I was fixing my new desk.
Reset My Mind
When I joined SVAKOM, the sex toy industry was a totally a new field for me. At the beginning, I didn’t know much about human sexuality and was confused about why so many people were fascinated by sex toys even though they had partners. I originally thought only single people needed sex toys and, after gaining some knowledge on human sexuality & sexual psychology, I subsequently realized that using sex toys can be another way of engaging with your partner, I really needed to re-evaluate my mindset and my understanding about sexuality and the world.
Different Cultures of Sexuality
In most Asian countries, people don’t talk about it and sex-related topics are considered taboo, while people in western countries are more open-minded to accept, free-spirited and willing to try new things to explore their limits. Different places or religions have different traditions and learning about them has also taught me to respect the diversity of different cultures. Now, I am open minded enough to accept differences that, otherwise I’d never knew existed before.
LGBTQ Knowledge
Before joining SVAKOM, I had little knowledge about the collective and have never met a LGBTQ person in my life. It was kind of a mystery to me.
Despite the increasing acceptance of LGBTQ people in the world, topics or conversations related to them are still considered taboo in some countries. Thanks to the internet, people, like myself, now can get a better understanding about sexual orientation and gender identity therefore we will all have a more positive attitude towards the community. And now I understand even more the old saying that goes, “Don't judge a book by its cover”.
SVAKOM Spirit Motivated Me
Time passed super-fast! It’s been 2.5 years since I joined SVAKOM. I really love the company not only because we have smart leaders and excellent team members, but also the corporate culture that is CARE, ELEGANCE, FASHION & INTELLIGENCE.
