Sie selbst postete auf ihrem Instagram-Account ein Foto aus dem Backstage-Bereich des Fotoshootings für die neue Kampagne der Pink Victoria's Secret Linie. Das 22-jährige brasilianische Model schrieb in ihren Netzwerken: "Hört niemals auf zu träumen, Leute. Das Leben ist erstaunlich. Will mehr, hasst weniger. Hass ist nutzlos, also verschwende deine Zeit nicht damit."

Sie ging auch durch die Kommentare von Sampaio, ihrer neuen Partnerin von Victoria's Secret, und auch dem brasilianischen Model, Lais Ribeiro: "Das erste Transsexuelle, das für Victoria's Secret fotografiert wurde! Das macht mich sehr glücklich!" Die Einstellung von Sampaio erfolgt Monate, nachdem das Lingerie-Unternehmen scharfe Kritik an den Äußerungen des Marketingmanagers von Victoria's Secret, Ed Rezek, erfuhr, der über den Grund sprach, warum Victoria's Secret keine Plus-Size-Models oder Transsexuelle engagiert: "Und warum nicht? Weil die Show eine Fantasie ist. Es ist ein 42-minütiges Unterhaltungsspecial. Das ist es.
