骄傲之前的生活
但即使这些安全空间也并非真正安全。警方突袭很常见。警察会冲进来，打开灯，把所有人排成一排，并以“违反规定”为由逮捕人。大多数夜晚，人们会尽量保持冷静，希望事情快点结束。
改变一切的那个夜晚
当晚在场的Stormé DeLarverie后来说 ，
“这是一场反抗，是一次起义，是一场民权抗命——绝不是该死的骚乱。”
