1969年6月28日，在紐約一家名為Stonewall Inn的酒吧里，警方對LGBT+群體進行了突襲搜查。這引發了大規模示威活動，成為 LGBT+ 群體第一次爭取權利的鬥爭。

1950年至1960年間，很少有場所接受公開的同性戀者，其中大多數是酒吧。

此前，警方對同性戀酒吧的突襲已經是家常便飯，但在這起案件中，完全超出了所有限制。

數以千計的同性戀者和跨性別者遭到公開羞辱、性騷擾、解僱、監禁或被關進精神病院。

Stonewall Inn 位於格林威治村附近的克里斯托弗街 51 號和 53 號，是唯一接受跨性別者的酒吧。

在突襲期間，跨性別女性出示了她們的軍卡，並且必須穿著至少三件男裝才能避免被捕。

騷亂當天，四名警察從正門進入酒吧，關掉音樂，關上門，並用電話請求增援。

工人和酒吧顧客被捕，而更多的人在店內和店外遭到警察的猛烈襲擊。

在騷亂持續約45分鐘的時間裡，有人向酒吧投擲燃油噴射器並點火，隨後消防員趕到將火勢撲滅。

他們逮捕了 13 人，其他人被送往醫院，四名警察受傷，幾乎整個建築內部都被摧毀。

這場可怕的悲劇發生六個月後，兩個活動組織在紐約成立，以進行抗議活動並促進他們的權利。

1970 年 6 月 28 日慶祝了石牆客棧騷亂一週年，成為歷史上第一次 LGBT + 驕傲遊行。

2016年6月24日，美國前總統歐巴馬宣布Stonewall Inn酒吧為第一座紀念LGBT+團體權利鬥爭歷史的國家紀念碑。

今天是紐約發生騷亂 50 週年，但這麼多年過去了，要消除針對 LGBT+ 群體的暴力行為，還有很多事情要做。
