SVAKOM Klitty Review: Is It Worth It? A Sexologist's Opinion
by Rafael Aragón
The SVAKOM Klitty is the cat-shaped toy with a silicone tongue that keeps coming up whenever people talk about sex toys. I'm a sexologist, so the question I care about isn't whether it works, but who it makes sense for and who it doesn't. And since I'm a man and this toy is designed for women, I won't be telling you about my own sensations. I'm drawing on what I know about the clitoris and sexual response, on what my patients who have tried it tell me, and on what I work on in my practice.
What the SVAKOM Klitty is and how it works
It measures 70 x 128 x 61 mm, weighs 280 g and has a cat-shaped silicone head. If you take off the cap, you'll see an opening with a small tongue and a rim that creates the suction.
In practice, it does three things at once. The tongue licks, with 10 modes that go from gentle to more pronounced. The rim suctions, on 3 levels. And everything vibrates.
In manual mode, the tongue and the vibration go together and only the suction is adjusted separately. With the SVAKOM app you can adjust everything separately, save your patterns and hand control to someone else, even if they're in another city. This is very useful for many couples who want to experiment and keep desire alive.
A couple of practical details: the battery lasts about an hour and it has an IPX6 rating, so you can wash it under running water, although SVAKOM says it shouldn't be fully submerged. And one important warning: it's for external use only.
What the SVAKOM Klitty offers from a sexology point of view
Let me start with the basics, because my sexology practice is where I find the most myths: the clitoris is not just the part you can see. It has an internal structure that surrounds the entrance of the vagina (O'Connell et al., 2005). And that's not a minor detail: in a study of women in the United States, a little over a third said they needed clitoral stimulation to reach orgasm during intercourse (Herbenick et al., 2018).
With that in mind, here is what I find especially interesting about the Klitty:
Variety. A vibration that never changes ends up boring the body: it gets used to it and the sensation fades. Alternating licking, suction and vibration breaks that monotony.
The stimulation is more indirect. The suction doesn't press on the glans, which people with a very sensitive clitoris, who find direct contact uncomfortable, tend to appreciate.
The one that matters most to me: it takes the pressure off. When you are the one setting the rhythm, you stop having to "get there" and start exploring. It's something I see a lot in my practice: people who treat sex like an exam tend to enjoy it less. Pressure and desire are enemies.
Still, let's be clear: it's an erotic toy. It won't fix a relationship or replace therapy. If reaching orgasm is persistently difficult for you, it's worth looking at it, above all, with a sexology professional.
How to use the SVAKOM Klitty the first time
If this is your first toy of this kind, my advice is to go slowly. So many modes can feel overwhelming. I'd approach it like this:
Pick a moment with no rush, with water-based lubricant and a clean toy.
Start with suction only, on the lowest level, on the external area.
Take your time with one specific thing at a time and notice how your body responds. If anything is uncomfortable, lower the intensity or stop.
When you find something you like, stay with it for a while. Switching modes every thirty seconds tends to work against you, and several user reviews highlight that low, steady levels work better than intense ones.
When you're done, clean it with warm water and mild soap (or a toy cleaner), dry it and store it.
Two warnings: no silicone-based lubricants, which damage the surface, and don't submerge it.
SVAKOM Klitty: who it's for and who it isn't
I have recommended it to some patients, and those who shared their opinion told me they had a very positive and satisfying experience. With that experience, I think it can suit people who want external stimulation without penetration, couples who want to play at a distance with the remote control (where anticipation works in your favor), and people who already know their body well and want to widen their repertoire.
I don't see it as the best option in these cases:
If you prefer internal or combined stimulation.
If discretion comes first: some people describe it as a noisy toy.
If it's your first toy and you'd rather have something with fewer options.
If you have persistent vulvar pain, irritation or recurring infections. It's better to check with a professional first.
Frequently asked questions
Can it be used inside the vagina? No, it's designed for external stimulation.
Could it leave me numb? A temporary numbness after intense use is fairly common and usually goes away with rest. If it lasts, see a professional.
Is it good for couples? Yes, but talk first about which sensations you like and who sets the pace. The toy adds to the experience when there is conversation, not when it replaces it.
My straight take
The Klitty is not just another toy. It's one of the few that gets close to the feeling of oral sex: a tongue that licks, suction that comes and goes, and a vibration layered on top. And it doesn't stop there. With the app you can adjust each stimulus separately, save your patterns and even let someone else control it from a distance.
What I value most is that it makes it easier to explore without pressure, at your own pace and without having to "get" anywhere. What I value least is that it's external only and not always as quiet as promised. If you're considering it, start slowly and let your body set the pace. My patients tell me it's well worth it.
And if what you're going through goes beyond choosing a toy, and there is anxiety, a block or a discomfort you can't put into words, that can be worked on, and you don't have to do it alone.
