La haine est inutile, alors ne perdez pas votre temps avec ça."

Elle a également parcouru les commentaires de Sampaio, son nouveau partenaire de Victoria's Secret, et aussi modèle brésilienne, Lais Ribeiro : "La première transsexuelle photographiée pour Victoria's Secret ! Cela me rend très heureuse !".
L'embauche de Sampaio intervient des mois après que la marque de lingerie a été sévèrement critiquée pour les déclarations du responsable marketing de Victoria's Secret, Ed Rezek, qui a expliqué pourquoi Victoria's Secret n'engageait pas de modèles grande taille ou de transsexuels : "Et pourquoi pas ? Parce que le spectacle est une fantaisie. C'est un spécial divertissement de 42 minutes. C'est ce que c'est.
